Committee Meetings

The following committee meetings are typically held at Central Office on the days & times noted below. Please check our Calendar page for a current schedule of upcoming meetings.

 

Tucson Area Intergroup:

Business meetings are held on the second Sunday of the month at 1:30 pm.


Administrative Subcommittee:

Meetings are held on the second Sunday of the month at 12:30 pm.


Bridge the Gap:

“Bridge the Gap” is a commonly adopted name for committees around the country that provide a Temporary Contact Service, for the alcoholics who got sober in an environment of confinement and are being released into the outside world for the first time. This service is performed in accordance with the “Temporary Contact Program” in the Treatment Facilities Workbook, and the “Pre-release Contact Program”, as outlined in the Correctional Facilities Workbook.

Meets the 1st Sunday of the month at 3:00 pm at Central Office.


Correctional Facilities:

Purpose - The Correctional Facilities Committee carries the AA message to individuals incarcerated in jails and prisons.

Meets quarterly Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct., on the third Saturday at 10:30 AM. New Volunteer Orientation at 9:30 AM.


Grapevine Committee:

Purpose - The Grapevine Committee encourages subscription to, and readership of, the AA Grapevine... AA's official magazine and meeting in print.

Meetings are held on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00 pm.


Treatment Facilities:

Purpose - The Treatment Facilities Committee carries the AA message to individuals in treatment and detox centers, hospitals, shelters, and halfway houses.

The Treatment Committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5:30PM at Central Office..


Public Information (PI) and Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC):

Purpose - The CPC/PI Committees provide information about AA to schools, businesses, law enforcement agencies and other organizations interested in the AA approach to recovery from alcoholism. They also cooperate with professionals in the community - educators, physicians, clergy, and others who are often in contact with active alcoholics.

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm.


Tucson Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (TACYPAA):

Meetings are held on the 1st and the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2:00 at Central Office.
